Last spring, shortly after Tutto Bambino opened, I had the pleasure of meeting its owner, Britt Reynolds. Britt is young, energetic, passionate, and a Carlisle local. I was curious what her new boutique / family center would bring to our community. I recently caught up with Britt to see how things are going one year in and what, exactly, Tutto is all about.
What motivated you to start Tutto Bambino?
I first realized that Carlisle, and the surrounding area, was in desperate need of a center for families while I was studying midwifery. All of the parents seeking care at the clinic asked about places to take their children for classes and where they could go to gain support on various topics. There weren’t many options or resources in the area so I decided to take some time off of studying and, with the encouragement of my family and close friends, I opened Tutto Bambino. I am not a mother yet; Tutto is just the beginning of my dream of what I would hope to have while in my childbearing stages.
What kinds of programs/services does Tutto Bambino offer?
My current focus at Tutto is the free support groups such as parenting and breastfeeding. I love the idea of mothers supporting each other in the prenatal and postpartum stages. Along with free groups I have low-cost classes such as healthy eating, essential oil workshops, and music class for the kids. Within the next few weeks we will be pairing with another local business to offer some exciting new events for kids. I am always looking to expand and add more resources for families.
Can you say a little bit about the boutique side of Tutto?
The boutique was my idea to supply stay at home mamas with a small income. I wanted them to be able to make and share products that they love making at home. Everything in the shop is locally made by hand. We have baby wraps, clothing, jewelry, wooden toys, and so much more. I couldn’t be more excited for offer these great products to the community and supply local mothers with a rewarding job. I have 13 consignors all putting their heart into the products we offer.
What is your vision for the coming year?
The first year has been wonderful. I couldn’t be more excited by the support and love the community has shown towards the business. I have met many amazing families who I look forward to seeing and spending time with on a weekly basis. Within the next year I hope to expand my birthday party packages, have more consignors in the boutique, and add various classes, workshops, and support groups for the family. Stay tuned as we have some big surprises coming up this summer, I can’t wait!
